I'm depressed.....

So, I'm sitting on the couch a few minutes ago. I'm bummin' around in my "dont pollute my planet" T-shirt cuz all I've been doing is cleaning the house. Lexi, my next-week-will-be-six-year-old daugter comes and sits down beside me and starts playing with my arm. Right as I go to flex for her she says "momma, your arms are all flabby!" I almost started to cry!!! Tim piped up and was like "lexi, that was really rude and you need to apologize to your mother. You don't say things like that" But honestly, it was the truth coming out of a very observant little girl who was not trying to hurt my feelings, she doesn't make things better than they are either by trying to flatter. I guess I need to first, teach her some tact, and then get a really good exercise to tone them up.... =(

Don't be depressed and let that make you start eating. I know you won't but I just wanted to tell you that. I'm sorry that she said that. I think you look great in your pictures. I'd kill (not literally just an expression) to look like you look with flabby arms and all. Actually you should come look at my arms! They need some serious help too.

My 2 year old loves to tell me I'm fat and everyone gets after him for it but the truth is, he is only repeating what I SAY out loud all the time! I don't even think he knows what it means, just that when someone says the word "fat" mommy is the fat one! ;o) I can't wait till I'm 125 lbs and he still calls me fat, then I will know he never knew what he was saying all along!

OH Holly, you SHOULD NOT listen to Lexi (and where is she hearing things like that to say...that's not nice!!). Your arms are arms...hey are normal little arms...they aren't flabby! I'm sorry that it made you feel bad though!

And I am so careful not to make negative comments about myself for that very reason Karilynn. Lorie, thanks! And Melissa, I think she was just on one because later when she was trying to convince me of something I said "Lex, I know how you think, I wasn't born yesterday" and she says "yes mom, I know! It was about a thousand years ago." Theres lexi for ya...

I was thinking last night after reading this and when that show that comes on TLC, oh I can't remember the nap of it, but it's to Look Good Naked or something like that. They had this lady on there and she was asked to list what she did not like about her body and that was the first thing that she said--flabby arms. Well, the host told her that most women have that problem so she should not be worried about it. Just thought that hearing that might make you a little less depressed.

Aren't kids great? I'm sorry she made you feel bad. Where would she learn the word flabby anyway? You are beautiful!

Hmmm. Holly, nobody who weighs 111 pounds has flabby anything. It was probably a compliment. Kids like their moms to be soft:) Don't take it too seriously! I'm finishing a post on my blog about the things kids say... check it out a little later...

Sorry that you are sad. It makes me glad that my Lexi can't talk when she is grabbing the backs of my arms. (lol)- it is just a matter of time.

Well, I did tell you I hoped you got one just like you : )
It worked! Remember when you liked to play with my elbow clay and arm dough? Hmmmm, maybe I wished for you to get 5 like you.
Shazam- it worked!
Don't listen to her (except to crack up) anymore than I listened to you. Just be glad you have one more day to live!
Love you!
